So I got this idea when the new movie The Lorax came out. I was thinking I would have a Dr. Seuss party for Paiglee. I thought I would make cake pops that were Truffula trees. I began to wonder if any one had thought of doing cake pop Truffula trees. I looked and found like one but it was different than what I was thinking of doing. I figured I would try it out before I actually decided to do the whole party. Well I did them and I don't know it was a lot of work and I wouldn't be thrilled to do it all for a party. Who knows though I still might. Give me time to recover from this round and I will see. It took a long time, it was my first time making cake balls, and then to add something so detail oriented to it. Yeah I was over it after the first hour. I didn't want all this sugar in my house so I delivered as many as I could. I only have three left.
The whole time making them I kept asking D if they looked like Truffula trees, he was like I guess. So I wasn't even sure if people would know what they were. I thought they did, I liked them and so did the girls. But when I delivered them to people they knew right away what they were. My colors aren't exact but really I can't be that exact. They are huge and so top heavy
when if I ever make them again I will make them a little smaller.
These are the only other cake pop Truffula trees I have found. The look professionally done. Mine are not.

Did you just use the Wilton grass tip 233? What icing consistency did you use? I'm surprising a friend with a Horton Hatches An Egg cake and piping the trees around the cake. Any help would be great!
Yes i used the 233 grass tip and the consistency of the frosting was just right out of the jar. I didn't make my own I just bought it. It did soften up a bit which made it a little difficult but if the frosting is cool then it is much more desirable to pipe on the cake pops.
