Birthday Celebration

So in our house we celebrate the even number Birthdays except when you turn one. So this year was Paiglee's 4th Birthday and it just so happened we were going to be traveling on her Birthday and then the weekend before was the 4th and I knew her friends wouldn't be around. So I planned her party for June 26th. I have to be honest I did not feel like throwing her a big party this year, but knew I had to.

I decided to do it at a park since we had just finished the sprinkler and our yard was a mess. We had it at Garnett Park where they have a little splash pad. I also filled 200 plus water balloons for the kids. It was became fun planning because I was able to let her choose her theme and cake. She chose Mickey Mouse everything. Lots of her friends showed up and she had a really good time. Daryl and I decided to get her a bike since she is too big for her tricycle. She loves the bike, but to say the least hasn't quit got it down. The fact that peddling backwards brakes you and she has seemed to forget how to steer and peddle at the same time, it really throws her off. So we take her up to where D works to practice since it is flat there. She crashed hard once (on her party day after everyone left) and so she is not allowed to ride her bike on uneven surfaces until she can control it better. But she loves it and asks to ride it all the time. She had a really great time at her party.

She also received a gift in the mail from her friend Lily who is gone for the entire summer, it absolutely made her day. The two of them ask for each other often.
