Happy Halloween!!

Today we started our day out with baking cupcakes for our ward Halloween party for the kids. I let Paiglee help me mix the batter and while I filled the cups with batter Paiglee licked the mixers clean.

She even was licking the batter off of the counter tops, she thought it was so yummy. She has never licked the beaters clean before, it was quit the treat for her.

I saw a very cute idea one Emily Asay's blog on how to make webs on stuff so I thought how cute would it be to do it on the cupcakes. I think they turned out really good.

I put Paiglee's costume on her to see how she looked and she really liked it she kept saying "tiger, rrrraaa (roar)" it was pretty funny.

We then headed to the party and it was a ton of fun especially for Paiglee. I was a little apprehensive because it was during her nap but she was great. She Played Pumpkin bowling, pin the nose on the pumpkin, Don't eat Casper Bingo, and golfing, and she even got her face painted. She enjoyed it all, and just took it all in.

Pumpkin Bowling

Bingo she stuffed her mouth it was pretty funny, she could barely close her mouth afterwards

Pin the nose on the pumpkin' she kept putting it on the eye, I think she thought she had to match the shapes. She was really good at that.

I then took Paiglee home to squeeze in a quick nap before we went to our wards Trunk or Treat at 5pm. It was fun and Paiglee thought it was so fun to get the candy. She was so happy and it was funny watching her lift her bucket full of candy she acted as if it weighed a ton.

I only added this picture because I don't have many pictures of Paiglee and I and when I do I usually don't put them up, so excuse my chubby cheeks, just look at the cute lion.

This Rockin' couple are the Hisers they are friends we have made here in Rock Springs, they are some of my favorite people and a load of fun. I love how festive they are and they just kill me all in their get up. They are wearing matching tattoo arm bands and the fake eye lashes really topped it off. Fara you are lucky you can get your husband to dress up with you. Daryl is such a stick in the mud when it comes to that. But maybe Will inspired him.

Daryl and Paiglee passing out candy after we made the rounds
Paiglee said trick or treat but when in front of people she would clam up but she would say treat and thank you if you really listened.

We also went to a neighborhood close to our house after the Trunk or Treat to get candy but Paiglee was not into all the walking. So I called it good and we went home to pass out candy to the trick or treaters. I was passing out play dough and hands full of candy since we had a ton, I almost got rid of it all. We had more trick or treaters this year than we ever have since being married. I am a huge fan of passing out the candy and all the fun dorky stuff that Halloween has to bring. I get giddy and excited for the holiday. One more reason I love having a kid then I have an excuse to do the fun dorky stuff and someone to at least enjoy it with me.

But Halloween was great for us we all enjoyed it and hope everyone else had a great Halloween!

Emily and Daryl,

The pictures are great. Paiglee is adorable in the tiger costume. I loved Halloween when the kids were younger. Unfortunately we don't get very many trick-or-treaters here any more. I remember going to each house for 3-4 blocks when I was younger and coming home with a pillowcase full of candy. Boy was that fun! Thanks for sharing the pictures. Emily, the cupcakes turned out great!

Great cupcakes! Cute Lion! The Hisers? Guess what? I grew up with the Hiser's in Lovell. Ask William if he remembers Lauren White. :) I went to school with his sister Natalie. You are so pretty, Em. You look great...no chubby cheeks :)

Emily, you're freaking beautiful, quit worrying about your weight so much. I mean it. You're hot stuff.

And those cupcakes are sweet! And can we borrow that lion costume when she grows out of it?

Your cupcakes looked really good. Creativity is not in my genetic make up and I wish it were. Paigelee was adorable in her outfit.

Loved the cupcakes. Super yummy now I know the trick to yummy frosting. Next year you'll have to make Daryl dress up so we can all be goofs together. Paiglee's costume was so cute. Maybe you should have had Daryl be the cowerdly lion also since he backed out of the dressing up. :) I just have to give him a hard time. I must say those Hiser's are rockin. :) You can come look at my pics anytime.
