We are back .....

Well, we went to Rock Springs Thursday to finally begin looking for a home. Thursday we went to the school where Daryl will be working and I met the Principal and some of the other staff. They were all so nice and the principal is amazing she is very nice and seems to really care about her job and the people she has hired to work. Daryl is trying to get this assistant football coaching job for the Jr. High in Rock Springs and when we told Tina (the principal) she got on the phone and called the guy hiring and pretty much put in a good word for Daryl. That was so nice of her. Daryl and I both have not been to Rock Springs and we didn't really know our way around but we drove around to look at things and find things we heard were there. We drove through some of the potential neighborhoods that we would be looking in to buy a home. I must say Rock Springs is so much nicer than I had pictured or even remember. They have so much construction going on; it is going to look so nice when it is finally done. We also met up with Bob Pence who is a good friend of Daryl's and we ate dinner and just hung out for the night. Friday we were up early to look at places and we pretty much looked all morning and we found a place that we are getting. Our offer was accepted and we will sign contracts when the seller gets back to Rock Springs. I really can't believe it! I wasn't expecting to actually get something this soon or have what seems to be so little trouble finding what we both want. We found a Twin home or a town home whatever you call it. It is a little over double the square footage we have in our tiny apartment now. It is brand new and the moment I saw it on the internet I knew I wanted one of them. The main down side to this one is the yard isn't as big as some of the others. The one we wanted that was the exact same but that had a bigger yard I guess had a contract that was just put on it so we pretty much just missed it. But we figure the yard that we get with this home is more than what we have now since we have nothing. Plus we prefer to have more square footage rather than going for a home with less but a bigger yard. We also figure we won't be in this much more than five years and this is a starter for us. It has a good size laundry room and a very open kitchen with lots of cabinets, a big plus. Over all we both couldn't be more excited about our new home and about finally feeling like we are leaving Laramie. Rock Springs has so much more to offer both of us than Laramie does and I know the Lord lead us here for the right reasons. We met some of the neighbors we will be living close to and they had all good things to say about where we will be living. We are close to all the new stuff and in a very pretty neighborhood and there is a running path close by. Plus another big plus about Rock Springs is they have an Ob/Gyn who does VBACs (Vaginal Birth After C-section) this is huge for me since I don't want to have a repeat cesarean. So really I couldn't be happier with our new location. I feel very anxious and almost as if it isn't really happening. Now we just have to get through all the paper work that goes a long with buying a home.

Here are a couple pictures of the home we are getting

We haven't decided if we are keeping the shelving.

Crown molding will also be put on the cabinets

Just for those who may be wondering
It is 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, and 1680 square footage (I believe that is without the two car garage)

Also we got the house for so much cheaper because we asked for the appliance deal to be removed so we could buy some for cheaper cause the sealer required you to buy from Sears if you took the appliance deal and you can get appliances at Home depot or Lowes for half the price of Sears.
