A Smoothie Treat

I have been working really hard to get back into shape.  I have set personal goals for myself, of which I don't want to share on here because some how it will sabotage me.  Right?  But I am always looking for healthy easy recipes to add to my few that I have.  But it has to meet several requirements actually just one big one.  It has to be clean.  For those who don't know, clean eating is just eliminating as many processed foods and artificial sweeteners as possible, simply put.  I don't say it is organic because that is in my opinion a marketing scheme.  I just simple try to eat as clean as possible.

So back to my point I am always looking for good recipes that don't require much effort and taste good.  I am a girl that likes to enjoy her food.  A friend of mine is also getting in shape and doing something very similar.  She shared with me a smoothie she made and I asked her for the measurements she used and I tweaked it from there.  I am calling it coconut mixed fruit smoothie.  I am also going to share it with you because it is freaking amazing, plus who doesn't want a healthier choice to curb a sweet tooth or just treat yourself.

Coconut Mixed Fruit Smoothie

1 -5.3 oz container of Dannon Light & Fit Greek Blends Toasted Coconut Vanilla yogurt
1 cup -frozen mixed fruit of choice (I used Great Value Mixed fruit no sugar added Pineapple, peach, strawberry and mango blend, YUM)
1/2 cup apple juice no sugar added
ice to your desired thickness

Blend and enjoy!

That is how simple and to be honest it is so yummy!  I am sure if you are an amazing cook you could add things to this to make it even better but really simple is amazing too.  Now some who may be clean eating Nazi's would say apple juice isn't clean, blah.  Well one other thing I use to decide what is good (clean) or not would be the fewer ingredients the better.  Apple juice had three and it was great value brand.

I hope you try it and that it hits the spot for you as it has for me.
