We are off on the rotation of our birthdays, our goal has been to have our kids have a party on the even years and just family on the odd years. Well she had a birthday party last year for her 5th birthday and we weren't going to do one this year. But last minute Daryl decided we should throw her a party. I quickly put one together. I her gave her the option of the theme and she wanted a Super Mario party. I asked her who she wanted to invite and she named them off. I looked for cute ideas for her party. My awesome and very talented friend Natalie made the Birthday invitations for me with a little help from me and D on the design aspect. She is freaking awesome she is a graphic designer in her spare time, if you need anything made she does an awesome job, she has designed billboards. The one up was Daryl's idea pretty clever, do you get it?
This was the best shot I got of the bunch

I got a kick out of Paiglee opening her gifts, her friends were really great to her, and she got many things that she had been wanting for some time now.
The kids ened up having a water fight and the older boys
(some of the girls brothers) were winning so Daryl brought
out the garden hose for them to soak them with.
They loved that.
I spent the whole day before making cake pops of little red and green mushrooms, they turned out okay, and also the ghosts they too turned out okay. But what they lacked in design they made up for in taste, so yummy. Plus they were a big hit with the kids, and that is all that matters. Also Paiglee thought they were awesome and thought I was pretty great for making them for her.

We did the pinata again, and then the slip'n slide. I also had white balloons filled with helium them drew the ghosts on them to have a game of popping them. Well I didn't think it through because during it the girls were getting marker on them and their faces and then my carpet and the walls and pretty much everywhere so I ended that and tried to clean them up best we could. I figured what didn't come off should come off in the water later. The pinata was fun except we filled it so full with candy that after Paiglee's turn, the part that was on it to hang it by tore off and so we had to jimmy rig another one that didn't last long either. But guess what all they cared about was the candy. They had a ton I am sure their parents were thrilled.
I made this card to go on their gift bag and included the water with all their candy, I stole the Game Over Idea and the water bottle power up from pinterest.
