Co- Ed Softball 2012

Last night was our last game of softball.  The tournaments started the Monday after we came home from Illinois.  We lost a game and went to the loser bracket, then we fought hard to stay in it.  Our first game last night was against the team that put us in the loser bracket and it was our third time playing them.  We pulled out the win, and it was so nice to beat them finally.  We were thirsty and we played like we wanted it.  Then we had our second game right after the that game, against the looser from the other game going on.  The winner from this one would move on to the Championship game the following night.  Where they would play for the double elimination.  And either our team or the team we were playing would have to beat the top team twice in a row the next night to be the champs.

We played hard and at the end of the 6th inning (when time was up) we were tied so we went into a tie breaker inning.  But by the end of that one we were tied again.  Three tie breaker innings later and a lot of intense playing we lost by one point.  We had fun though, even with the bad ump calls and some intense competitiveness.  We were never expecting to do as well as we did as a team.  When we were ranked the 2nd best team going into the tournaments we kind of wanted to win the whole thing, and receive the free t-shirts we were told the Champs would receive.  But we were stoked about getting  a trophy for third place, that was unexpected.  The two remaining teams battled it out tonight but the team that beat us last night lost their first game and there was no need for a second game.  I have to admit I am kind of glad the team that beat us didn't win the whole shebang.

I had so much fun, playing softball.  I enjoyed meeting everyone and getting to know them.  I am stoked that I had some good improvements with my game playing by the end.  I really hope they want D and me back next summer.  I am going to look forward to it.  I never thought I would enjoy the game of baseball/softball so much.  Still it is kind of boring to watch on TV, so much better in real life.  It was an awesome season, and a blast.

Any who, here is the team with four people missing. I messed with my camera settings that is why the pictures are orange then I fixed it and the last two look dull. We really don't look that orange in real life.
