The Year of the Itch

On January 6th D and I celebrated our 7 year anniversary. I asked D earlier if he felt itchy he just looked at me like what are you talking about. I said well we are approaching our anniversary and they call it the seven year itch. He still had no clue as to what I was talking about. So I told him about how people say at the seven year mark people tend to waver and want to see what else is our there. He had never heard of that. I think it is fun to joke about and so do my friends. A good freind of mine texted and wished me a happy anniversary and also said she would be over later with some itch cream. I think it is fun to poke fun at.

We didn't do much really, we almost didn't even go out on a date. But last minute we got a sitter and went to Sherlock Holmes. Daryl did buy me some dead flowers. I laughed and let him throw them away. He said it was the best the grocery store had, I told him Walmarts flowers are better than that. He wasn't hurt by it and I wasn't sad he got me dead flowers. A few days before our anniversary we bought a gift for Emery's birthday but if we spent more we would get free shipping. We ended up buying Ticket to Ride the U.S.A version and I count that as our gift to ourselfs for our anniversary. We are kind of lame but that is alright. We are on a penny pinching budget and we can't really do anything we really want to do, die to having children so young so we, will stick with the simpler things in life.

I don't know what else to write though, we are good. Our relationship is great we both continue to work on ourselves and do our best at giving our all to the other and our family. I lack more in that department than he does, but I have always been more of a selfish person. I enjoy where we are at in our relationship and only hope it gets better. We have alot of accomplishments as a couple to be proud of and grateful for. We have two amazingly beautiful girls and a fairly simple life that I have always wanted. I enjoy the here and now. I am grateful for a husband who has helped me and stood by me through so much. He is the best!!

A look back through time..........present to past, do we look itchy?

These last few pictures feel like yesturday but when I look at the picture it was so long ago. We don't look too itchy but just incase I better stock up on some cream. To another year of marriage.
