Friday Daryl came home and said lets go to Utah and get a hotel and just get out of this place. I was honestly thinking the same thing. I knew I couldn't get everything in order with such short notice so I said we would just leave early in the morning.
We had a great weekend really, it was just spent as a family. It was so great, we are planning another getaway in the next few weeks.
Saturday we all slept in a bit surprising for Paiglee and then we headed to Utah we decided we would go to the Zoo and try a place that was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, then shop in Park City for some things we needed and also grab a bite to eat there.
We first decided to do lunch at Ruth's Diner, it was so yummy and a huge perk it is super close to the Zoo. The wait wasn't horrible the weather was gorgeous and well the food was more than worth it. We all got something different so we could try it all. Paiglee got Mac & Cheese and French fries, seriously the best Mac & cheese ever, mmmm...I am craving it. Daryl got the cinnamon roll pecan French toast, and man it was yummy he was stuffed. I got the salmon with a fruit salsa and man it was so good, the best fish I have had in a long time.
We then headed to the Zoo with our full bellies. The Zoo was well a zoo literally and figuratively. Paiglee loved the tiger it was laying right up against the glass and you could get a good look at it. Paiglee asked if it was dead because he was sleeping. I laughed and told her "no he is sleeping, see you can see his belly moving, he is breathing". To be honest I am not a big fan of big crowds, I hate how people don't have manners are not courteous and well their kids should be behind the fences caged with the animals. I really think it is that Zoo because in Illinois I didn't have this experience. I don't know where some kids parents were but I had to do a little parenting for them. So just so you know if you don' t have your kids under control and are nowhere to be found I will do it for you. Get your crap together. Also people don't understand when you walk you stay to the right it is like driving, but I guess they don't get it cause their driving sucks just as bad in Utah. Sorry Utahans you are a mess. I didn’t mind if people were rude but then apologized but just blatant rudeness well I have an issue with. What happened to manners people. But it was fun aside for being annoyed with people, we stayed just as long as Paiglee wanted to she really liked the animals more so then the last time we went. But as we were walking back to the car Daryl commented that once a year to the zoo was god enough for us. I couldn't agree more. We got our fill of the zoo for a year.

We then headed to Park City to shop and return some things. Paiglee needed some summer clothes and Daryl got two nice shirts for work for .03 cents. Can you say awesome! We walked a lot and then we headed to the Panda place as Paiglee calls it to get some dinner.
We headed home and it was just a nice day even if you account for the crappy people at the zoo. They didn't ruin it enough for us, to make our day bad. It was really a fun day and we are going to do another getaway in a week or two, and we did it within budget. Awesome! is all I can say.
