It shocks me.

Does it really get clean?
So I am kind of obsessed with my kitchen and dining area floors, because they are what you first walk into, I like them to be clean. I feel like I am always cleaning them. Well I have been a bit of a slacker with it, because I just can’t pull myself to get on my hands and knees to scrub them. I have always been a huge fan of getting on your hands and knees to scrub floors, it gets it cleaner than just a mop or some other way, ........right? So I thought I would test to see how clean it actually got it. So I moved everything so I could scrub the floor, after doing so on my hands and knees, I brought out my swiffer and decided to go over it with that. Also I did it right after no real walking was done on the floor. The results were pretty shocking to me. Scrubbing on my hands and knees does not necessarily mean that the floor is getting cleaner, although as Daryl pointed out it makes me feel they are getting cleaner. So I think I am changing the way I clean my floors from now on, to make life more simple. I will still get on my hands and knees occasionally but not to do the whole floor which is a lot of floor. I will instead just use a rag and bucket to get the corners and the base boards cause I can't clean my floors without getting that as well. I just won't have to spend 30 or more minutes on my hands and knees. But I did find it so interesting that scrubbing on my hands and knees didn't get my floor as clean as I would have sworn it was. I was very disappointed, since it was what I grew up doing and that is the way my mom did it, so it must be the best way right? But I am relieved because now I don't have to do as much work to clean my floors anymore. Also Daryl laughed at me when I took a picture of the after swiffer wipes, but I figure maybe there are others out there scrubbing their floors on their hands and knees, so why not save others time as well. If you don’t believe me try it, and see what happends.

I'm laughing right now, but seriously, thanks for posting this. I like to clean my floors by hand too because I think they get cleaner and look better. I guess not!
I hate getting on my hands and knees to scrub, it hurts my back! But I got a Swiffer for Christmas and I love it!
