Tuesday we had our friends the Jordan’s come to stay with us because they are looking for a house because they might be moving here. So I offered them our spare room. We haven't seen them since this summer so it was good to hangout and chat with them. They were so kind enough to take us out to eat that night at the SantĂ© Faye (I have no clue how to spell it). It was really good but it didn't sit very well with me, my tummy was bubbling it wasn't upset just bubbly. Then Maggie and I went to the movie Twilight. I like it; I don't think it is as great as everyone makes it out to be. I like that it emphasized a few things in the book that I didn't catch. I don't think Edward is HOT. The only time I thought he was good looking was a close side shot of his face because he has a nice jaw line. He was okay as long as they didn't show his whole body, waist up is fine. Zoomed out shows you how scrawny he really is, that is not the Edward in my head. I didn't like how Edward looked like he might be tripping on a drug of some kind (that was weird, the whole wide eye shots just weird). I like Bella she is actually better looking in the movie but still not too gorgeous for the role. I think it is stupid how they had all sorts of ethnic people playing the characters like Eric he isn't Chinese in the book. But it was okay at the end I guess, still weird though. I didn't like how they jumped around like some events were out of order than what they were in the book. I think they should have spent more time saying what character was which cause I was guessing who was who for a few minutes, not cool. I am also hoping that with all the money they made from this one that they can spend more money or get someone new for the flying and running fast stuff because really it was lame and I know that it could be done better. Edward looked like a retard at some points running with Bella on his back like he needed to take a dump. But it was good it wasn't great, they could make it better. I mean it did make me want to read the second book, cause after reading the first book I wasn't too excited to read the second, mostly because I have heard Edward isn't in the second book that much and that it is all Bella and Jacob. I will say this, Jacob was much better looking in the movie than in the book for me, in the book he just looks like a goober to me. Edward is a very lustful well built muscular but not huge just well cut and defined and he is just dreamy in my head. They could really get a better Edward. But yeah the movie was good I enjoyed going with Maggie and I am glad it was her third time going because I had a ton of questions, which shouldn't happen in a movie that I read the book to. Oh I can't forget I also cleaned all day everything got cleaned except my bathroom that was going to be for another day.
Wednesday I went shopping for my Turkey dinner and what not. I ended up finding this AMAZING marinade for my turkey Wednesday evening and had to go get the stuff for that. I made my Grandma's cranberry jell-o that I love. Then I cleaned and got the Turkey all ready to go in the oven the next day.
Thursday I slept in and loved it. I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, by myself because Daryl is not into it. I then began my Turkey and made my Pumpkin turtle pie. I really enjoyed making my thanksgiving dinner. I wasn't stressed at all, I actually told Daryl at one point I don't know why other people get stressed, it was so easy. I guess it comes down to planning and preparations that can be done the day before. But I have to say my Turkey was the BEST turkey I have ever had, no joke and I am not tooting my horn, dead serious. I ended up making stove top stuffing (Daryl's favorite), real mashed potatoes, a gravy mix, store bought rolls, sweet potatoes baked in butter. Although I did do some easy things like the gravy, the rolls, and the stuffing everything else I made and really it was too easy. For Christmas I think I might make homemade rolls. But I really enjoyed making my First Turkey dinner and can't wait to do it next year.

Me Carving my first turkey
I love my electric knife we have never used it until now we got it when we were married and it cuts really nice.
Daryl's brother Curtis was suppose to eat with us he was driving from Cheyenne on Thanksgiving day and he didn't get there in time, so he didn't get to eat with the rest of us. We were invited to our friends the Hiser's for pie and dessert. I took over my pie and they had three of their pies, so we had lots of pie. When we got there I was just feeling comfortable from dinner then I ate pie and was uncomfortable again. But Fara's chocolate pie pudding thing was so good and then I had some of my pie and I couldn't suck in my tummy for the life of me. Thanks Fara for inviting us.
Friday morning we woke up to get packed and on the road to Daryl's brother John's house. Wednesday we got a call from Forest and his wife (Daryl’s good friend he grew up with in Illinois) saying they were heading to Logan, UT. Then Daryl made plans to meet up with them sometime Friday. We ended up meeting them at Winger's in Kaysville for a lunch, even though we were suppose to eat a turkey dinner with John's family at 3pm. But it was so good to see them and chat it has been a while. We got to see their newest addition to their family Keena (sp). We then headed to John's and said we wouldn't let them know we ate lunch with Forest cause we thought we would be eating at 3pm and we didn't want them to think we weren't hungry.
Well turns out we didn't eat at 3pm it was much later I don’t know how much but it was late enough for me to be hungry again. So it all worked out. We hung out and talked with John and his family. Lenna (sp) gave us a tour of their house since they moved since the last time we saw them. They have a gorgeous house and a huge I mean huge yard. The yard is like 1/2 acre or something like that, huge. I talked Daryl into going to look for a new bed for Paiglee which was a nightmare. Paiglee said she pooped right as Daryl was putting her in the car and sure enough she did. So Daryl decided it would be a good idea to just change her in the drive way while it was chilly outside and where people could see. I was mad that he did that and he asked me to run in and get something for him so I did and when I was heading out he was heading in he was mad. Then I went back to the car to let him sit in his bad decision and he was really mad when he got to the car and I started to laugh he didn't like that one bit. But really I understand he didn't want to change her but he made his own mess, cold pavement, chilly breeze then he forgets things. I would have done it completely different, and I let him do it his way (the hard way in my opinion). I still think it is funny and he still gets a little mad when he thinks about it. He wanted me to help but then he snaps at me so I let him feel the repercussion of his decision. So then to add to it he headed the wrong way and I said I thought it was North not South and he said no this is what John said (I swear he said North) so we go in the wrong direction for a while until we see nothing we are suppose to. He heads back the way we were supposed to, and he realized he went the wrong way even though he didn't mention that he had. Funny, Funny!
Looking for a mattress was funny too. We meant business we didn't want to try to be sold something. We told them we wanted a twin for a toddler, one guy said what about a pillow top and Daryl says we need something cheap that can be peed on. So after that we tell everyone we are looking for cheap and something that can be peed on. The one guy also said you know they make mattress cover that protect the mattress from being peed on. We just looked at him like yeah we know. Some people! I can't stand when people try to sell us as if we are dumb. We found a mattress and went the next day when we left town to buy it. Our friends the Gard's are going to pick it up for us when they go on Tuesday. YAY! So although we didn't want to make the trip because Paiglee is known to be a pill on trips we are glad we did we saw friends and family and bought a bed at a great price, we can't beat that.

We also watched Hancock with his brothers while in utah and it was an alright movie, not Will Smiths best but it was a good renter movie.
Saturday we did nothing after we arrived back home. Sunday we went to church and then came home and put up our Christmas tree and decorations. I am still trying to get Daryl to hang a few outside but since we can't do a lot he doesn't want to bother. If he doesn’t I will do it, one way or another lights will be hung.
But our weekend was great and we had fun. We are glad it is over, because it was just too much and we feel like we didn't rest over our break. Hope everyone else had a good Holiday.

Paiglee dipping her Nutter Butter in water, YUM!
She really liked it she did it for everyone she ate. If you look at the water you can see crumbs and cloudy water. Yuck!

Sounds like a great Thanksgiving. I wanted to make a Thanksgiving dinner but we were all to sick to eat it. It all sounds good to me now though, especially the pie I wonder why no one ever invites to anything any more. :)
I knew what happened and still enjoyed reading. You two (three I guess) are so much fun to have around. Loved your pie. Thanks for saving some!
