Our Christmas 2008

We have had a pretty relaxing holiday so far. We have really enjoyed the down time and the freedom to do whatever we want. Christmas Eve we made nachos and then we watched the Nativity, then after Paiglee went to bed we watched Traitor (nothing like we thought it would be, but it was okay). Then we went to bed. We woke up at 7:30ish am and went down stairs to show Paiglee that Santa had come. She was very excited and just gasped. While we were opening some of Paiglee's gifts Beth stopped by to give us some YUMMY! Pecan rolls and OJ they were so good and right out of the oven. We continued to open gifts and for Paiglee it was great and I was happy, but for Daryl well he was a little disappointed, which is entirely my fault. I guess I hyped up his gift I got him a little too much for what it really was. So he went out of his way to get me some cool stuff. He was expecting something so cool he didn't know what but I guess I made it sound like it was the best gift ever and I guess at one point I told him it is a gift he wants but he has never asked for and that he doesn't even know he wants. Then he opened it and all it was, was a pancake batter dispenser. Ops! He even said he thought it was going to be so good that he almost bought me a Kitchen Aid because he thought I would be disappointed. I laughed so hard I couldn’t believe I made it seem like it was so good that he almost bought me a Kitchen Aid. My bad he was so disappointed I still haven't heard the last of it. But it is funny and we are both laughing pretty hard about the whole thing. What is even better on our home tape all we are doing is bickering while in the background you hear Paiglee playing with her Wiggles microphone? It is pretty funny! But we enjoyed it we received many nice gifts that we are so thankful for. Paiglee loves all her gifts and really loves her Wiggles microphone, it was one of the first things she opened and she wouldn't open anymore gifts. She acted like she was afraid we were going to take it from her. She even got a wiggle shirt that we have hidden or else that is the only thing she will wear. At her nap time on Christmas day she took off the shirt she was wearing and had the Wiggle shirt on upside down she is too funny. But we are now cursing the Wiggle microphone because it is loud and annoying after 48 hours of it. But it was a very memorable Christmas for us we enjoyed making our own traditions and being with one another. Christmas dinner was great too; I made a very YUMMY ham, which we might be eating into next week. I just love the Holidays and all the good stuff it brings.

She loves this thing, I put it together and she plays forever with it. Plus I like to play with it too.

I have some making up to do mext Christmas for Daryl, what makes it worse is he was for once so excited to open his gifts becasue usually he could care less, but this year he was excited, and I ruined it. So if anyone has an amazing gift idea that is reasonably priced let me know I better start now to think about it.
