Weekend

Well since I didn't finish potty training last week our week was better. It just won't happen until I don't have to travel. So in November I will do it but I think I might do a couple things different.

We went to the Temple on Saturday and it was a rough go at first. We woke up and were going to be on time for the most part, when Daryl looks out our back window and tracks are lined on the highway for miles. I started to freak because I really didn't want anything to keep me from going to the temple. I finally got Daryl to get in the car to just see what was going on because there was no apparent reason for the highway to be closed and it was pretty much closed just between Green River and Rock Springs, and if it were an accident I don't think it takes hours I mean when we looked out the window truckers were out of their trucks walking around and all lights were off. So we began to head toward Green River on this side road and then we see High way traffic is being diverted another way. I wanted to know what was going on so in my dress and heels I walk over to a highway patrolman’s car and ask him why the Highway is closed and he says some drunk ran over a gas line and it was leaking 800lb psi (per square inch) that is a ton of gas. Then he began to explain how the traffic was being diverted and naming all this stuff and I said what is that and he looks me up and down and says you aren't from around here, are you? I looked at him confused and said well I am not from this side of Wyoming. Then he continues telling me while sounding annoyed. So I tell Daryl where to go and After we got to the Flaming Gorge Exit we were in the clear. But then we had to deal with Paiglee in the Logan Canyon and well if you have ever driven it the road is very windy and I get car sick. Daryl was annoyed that we were on a two lane highway and that this camper in front wouldn't pull over to let us go by and there was no passing lanes. Well we finally arrived in Logan and met up with Beth because she offered to watch Paiglee for us so we could go in together. She was their visiting family and said she would take her for me which I totally took her up on. Beth thanks so much for doing that. So we dropped Paiglee off with Beth and her mom and Sister in law and we were able to enjoy ourselves. Paiglee was great for her and well I had a feeling that she wasn't going to be very good on the way home. I stayed with Beth to get some things and shop a little. Daryl was nice enough to take Paiglee and he headed home. I told him to call me when he got home and when he did he wasn't in a good mood. I guess she cried the whole way home he pulled over twice to deal with her, and then he almost hit two trucks I guess because he was trying to deal with her. Paiglee was so tired and the windy road in the Canyon didn't allow her to go to sleep. But I did enjoy shopping and Beth and I got some craft stuff we needed for this huge project we are making (future post). I also picked up some things I needed for some other crafts I am doing on my own. So it was fun I would have to say the least fun part was the way back going through the canyon for me, for some reason I was feeling so car sick and only felt better if I kept my eyes on the car ahead of us which is hard since the road winds so much. But I made it but I think that canyon messed with my equilibrium because I have felt car sickish ever since I have been home. I have no clue what is going on with that.

Sunday Daryl said he wasn't going to church because of Paiglee being a pill for us. She didn't nap at all on Saturday and went to bed and 8:30pm and then kept waking up during the night and she was a stinker. So we have decided we will not be taking Paiglee on anymore temple trips we will find someone to watch her and Daryl is over the two lane highways and I totally agree. Paiglee would have totally crashed if it weren't for the canyon. Daryl is bitterer than I am about it for good reason since he had to deal with Paiglee. But making things easier for us is key to our sanity and a happy toddler.

But aside all that the temple was great and I got my questions answered and it was nice to be there with Daryl. I think it is great that we have gone to the temple more times since we have been in Rock Springs than we have since we had Paiglee. We have really committed ourselves again to doing it once a month as long as weather permits. I really enjoy going to the temple and going so much lately made me realize how much I have missed going every month.

Tomorrow Daryl and I have dentist appointments and we are both really stoked about it. It has probably been 5-7 years since Daryl has been to the dentist and 3 and half for me. I love getting my teeth cleaned and how good my mouth feels afterwards. We are both nervous to see how many if any cavities we have. I think we have good dental hygiene habits compared to some but a lot of time has passed and I am sure we have some cavities. One more perk to having a nice job and not being a poor college student anymore.

I think that is about it...until next time.

Give Daryl another pat on the back from me. We have traveled that rode many times with honery kids and it's no fun. Also, let me know how the dentist visit goes, we still need to get a dentist.

oh my gosh what a nightmare of a way home, sorry Daryl. I'm glad you had a good time at the temple. I am hoping we can fit in along with all the other stuff we have to do this weekend when we go to Utah which also includes the Dentist, I have to take Anthony, I'm scared.... Wish me luck! Beth-what a good friend!
