First Snow

So this morning we awoke to snow falling. It is kind of a bummer because I was hoping it would stay kind of nice just for a little longer or at least feel like fall until the end of the month. But it is really pretty here with the snow on the mountains all around us. Then the color of the leaves with the fresh white snow on the mountains really made it look pretty for me. So as much as I wanted to stay warm and cuddly in bed this morning I got up and I headed to the gym. I decided while working out that I wanted soup and homemade bread for dinner. I thought I would make potato cheese and wild rice soup it is delish. I am also excited because Daryl is making peach crisp tonight so that will really top it off for me. When it is cold outside all I want to do is stay warm inside and eat yummy comfort foods.

Before Paiglee went down for her nap today, I thought I would play Barbie’s with her. Yes you read right Barbie’s. I don't mind it though I was a big Barbie fan when I was little and it is all my old stuff from when I was little. But I was getting the naked Barbie’s dressed and kind of just looking at all the stuff I use to play with and Paiglee was so excited she sat them on their chairs and would talk to them in her jibber and every now and then I would understand what she was saying. When Barbie’s fell or got knocked off their chair she would gasp then say "oh no, oh are you okay?" Then she would rock them and say sshhh, shhh while she swayed back and forth. It killed me, to see her doing this. I tried not to let her know I saw it all or she would stop immediately but it was so dang cute to see her acting so motherly with the Barbie’s. Then she made them dinner in her kitchen and served them and told them it was hot all the time and tried to plump their skinny frames up. She would sing to them and she even got a book out to read to them and then finally asked if I would read to her and them. While I was reading she sat right by them making sure they were paying attention. I think she will be a great little mom someday.

I love the Barbie story! What a cutie!
p.s. the ear wax thing was gross, my aunt and uncle do it too. I've never done it, but I am now tempted! :)
