Been a While

Well I guess the number one reason I haven't posted is because finally, spring has decided to make her entrance. Nothing spectacular but it has been up into the 60's around here not every day but enough to enjoy the park and get Paiglee in the bike trailer. I have decided to switch my running outside due to Half Acre being a sauna and smelly I can't break a big sweat in there or else I feel I am suffocating in the muggy air from everyone else sweating. Sounds nasty well it is. I can only tolerate to maybe do elliptical and lift. You would think they would get a system in there, because they have had this problem for as long as I can remember.

Nothing really exciting has happened with us. This past Saturday Daryl had Saturday school and Paiglee and I were left all alone. Plus we got our car fixed I guess the rotors were warped so I didn't have our car Saturday either. But luckily we went to the park and spent most of the morning there. I got my first sunburn although not bad it was just great to get sun. Paiglee's head got sun burnt where I part her hair oops. This past week we also got to hang out with some friends we haven't spent much time with which was great. I made a yummy chicken pot pie dinner and then we had a yummy snicker salad for dessert.

I don't think I have mentioned this yet, but I quit Weight Watchers because I wasn't loosing and I was tired of spending the money for it. But I have actually lost weight since I quit because I made my own eating plan and I keep track of what I eat but pretty much I already know since I have given myself only certain things to eat. I must say it has been great because I don't feel hungry all the time like before cause I am giving my body what it needs. Unlike when I was on Weight watchers they say you can eat whatever, you just have to account for it well I didn't make the best choices and was hungry like every hour. So one day it just hit me I know what I should eat and I sat down wrote out my diet plan and I have done great although I have had sweets about three or more times a week I still am loosing and I couldn't do this on weight watchers. I will say though I still keep track of my weight watcher points it is just like journaling my food pretty much. Plus I know when I eat what I should, I just feel better not so groggy. If anyone is interested in knowing what my diet is this is it:

Breakfast:
-Oatmeal (not the microwave packets they don't count) I use Quaker Quick -1 minute( I also add 2 teaspoons of sugar and a little cinnamon and 2 tbsp of Evaporated milk. I cook the oatmeal as directed then add the other stuff. I add all this because it makes it taste better for the least amount of fat.
-3 egg whites cooked in a pan
-V8 tropical splash 8oz. or a grapefruit or other fruit

Snack:
-1/2 c. low fat cottage cheese or a low fat yogurt
-steamed veggies (I buy the frozen package of assorted veggies that you can microwave) follow serving size on bag

Lunch:
Option 1
-Whole Grain bread 1 slice cut in half
-turkey breast 3 slices
-1 slice of cheese
-I add a little mayo not even a teaspoon and not even a teaspoon of honey mustard for moisture
-a piece of fruit
Option 2
-3oz. chicken breast cooked (I always weigh this it is about a half of a regular breast) I use lemon pepper seasoning on this (usually this is left over from my previous night dinner
-brown rice 1/2 c. follow box directions I add a little olive oil and salt and pepper to my rice
-steamed microwaveable veggies
Option 3
-a tuna sandwich follow option 1 just without honey mustard and only use 3 oz. of tuna
-fruit and yogurt

Snack:
-cottage cheese or yogurt which ever I didn't have for my other snack
-fruit or veggies

Dinner:
-3-4oz. chicken breast or Salmon or other fish sometimes you can have red meat but not too often
-a baked sweet potato( not regular potatoes they make your blood sugar spike then drop to quickly, I add a little butter and salt and pepper to this) or brown rice with olive oil and salt and pepper
-steamed veggies

Snack:
-100 calorie popcorn fruit or chocolate or other treat I try to keep this within reason

I always try to make sure I stop eating at 8pm so I don't allow myself to eat after 8pm this has also helped a ton. I have also eaten what Daryl cooks maybe once or twice a night during the week I just try to keep my servings in mind and I have done great. So I am not depriving myself.

I have checked all the fat, protein and carbohydrates in this food plan it is higher in protein and then carbs follow and then fat. I believe that if your diet consists of high protein and high fiber you won't be hungry and it helps stabilize your blood sugar longer. This food plan will meet all daily requirements and then some. Also I eat a little extra for the days I workout harder. Also I should add I don't always have 3 snacks a day when I eat breakfast I start keeping track of when I eat so I eat about every 2-3 hours and sometimes I don't fit all the snacks in but trust me you still meet your daily needs. Plus if anyone is interested in this plan which I doubt any will this is adjusted to my weight so of course anyone lighter than me would have to make changes so you don't over eat.
I must say it has been working great and I have stuck to the plan pretty darn well, which is usually hard for me. On average I have lost a little over a pound a week which is about the normal weight loss anyone should have to keep off the weight and maintain it.

Okay enough of my dumbness I guess here are some pics of Paiglee when we took her to the Green belt to walk. She loved it and we tired her out so much she couldn't walk all the way back to the car. I would say she walked over a mile one her own.
