Easter, Break, and Graduation, and Surprise

Things have been pretty busy for me. I have been busy getting all of Daryl's graduation stuff in order, cause we are going to have a party! Why shouldn't we this day has been a day we have both dreamed of and well although Daryl doesn't want a party I am giving him one because he skipped out on his BA and I said he couldn't for his Masters. I made and mailed out Graduation announcements for him and I ordered a cake and everything is in order which is nice because it was a mess a times to get things figured out. But hey now I can get back to my other job of obsessing about where we are going to get a job, because I am really good at that.

I never posted our Easter Sunday pictures, so I figure I will get that done too. Paiglee looked 100% adorable and we got some good pictures of her in her dress we took family pictures but I won't be posting those cause I don't like looking at myself in pictures or having anyone else for that matter. We had a lot of fun at my parent’s house my Mom and Grandma made a great dinner while I watched and learned how to make gravy. When we first got there my Dad already had hidden eggs around the house for Paiglee and she had so much fun. She did great and my dad had a blast with her. We got a family basket from my parents and then with all of Paiglee's candy we were set. Oh and I must add the candy is gone all of it. Thanks to me not being able to restrain myself and a daughter who takes after her mommy and loves chocolate we devoured it, Daryl helped but he wasn't as crazy as the two of us girlies.

It was kind of weird to get back to our normal schedule after a nice long week of nothing to do. I forgot a lot of stuff like when Daryl's classes were and that I watch Kya in the mornings two days out of the week. It is amazing how fast I just forgot. But it is nice to get back to our schedule because I get lazier when Daryl is around all day. It didn't help that our Spring Break weather was not the greatest, so the bikes we got tuned up before break were never used due to cold 50 mph winds. Oh and I must say, it snowed last night and a little this morning. And it is spring but if you were here you might think we are still in the dead of winter. The forecast for the last two weeks has been snow or rain, it hasn't done that everyday but it mine as well since it is cold without it. I wish this town had spring rather than winter and summer and maybe a little fall if you are lucky. But I guess this will make summer that much more enjoyable when it does finally decide to get here. Daryl keeps joking that the weather is my doing since I prayed so hard for snow, I told him yeah but that was for Christmas and that is long gone so why can't the snow go with it.

I must say though I don't know where February and March have gone. I really can't believe how fast our semester has gone; it still feels like January at times. But I am happy about it because I am hoping April will bring us news of our future. But I am sure April will fly too (knock on wood) since the appointments and things that need to get done are already filling the calendar for April. I am really looking forward to Monday and Tuesday because that is the Teacher fair and that should tell us something we hope.

Oh I must add since I haven't been blogging on a regular basis I tend to forget a lot of things I tend to blog about. And the BIGGEST THING EVER!!!!! I couldn't wait any longer so on the 15th of March I gave Daryl his Graduation gift cause well once I finally got it I couldn't keep it a secret any longer. He got a GUN!!!! Yes I said a GUN!!! It is a Springfield XD tactical 45 cal. and it disassembles with no tools and it has ambidextrous releases which is great since Daryl is a lefty. It has a bunch of other cool things. How cool is that, I know I am the coolest freakin’ wife ever. He has been begging me and I told him he was never getting a gun cause I thought so then I thought how cool would it be to do that and shock the crap out of him. Oh believe me he was shocked and for like two days he just kept repeating I can't believe you got me a gun. I wanted to post about buying the gun months ago but I couldn't in case the surprise was spoiled. I never thought I would let a gun in my house especially since Daryl is not a hunter so there was no need but things change and since the government thinks they might yank our 2nd Amendment rights from us or whatever they are talking about. I figured what the heck. I got help from a friend who helped me pick it out and told me a lot about guns and then I did some more looking on my own and I for sure got a great deal on this gun. Plus it is a pretty cool gun, anyone who knows anything about guns would want a gun like this that is if you are a guy. The gun is also in the movie I am Legend Will Smith uses one just like it just not the same color though. When I purchased it I was so scared that Daryl wouldn't like it that I asked the guy that was registering it at the dealers what he thought and he said "if your husband doesn't like it I will buy it from you". I was pretty sure then that he would like it and I couldn't keep my mouth shut. Oh and I must say buying a gun is so easy I thought it was going to be impossible and that I would have to tell Daryl nope. I bought it off line and then it shipped to a dealer in town and they do some paper work. Now I know why it is amazingly easy for criminals to get them. But the gun has two safeties on it and it came with a gun lock and a case that can be locked and we have both decided that we won't let our kids know we own one. It will never be brought out in front of them (them as in future). Plus we will never keep bullets in the house. I must say though holding an actual gun other than a “bee bee” gun and my dads rifle it is kind of crazy to hold a handgun and it kind of scares me but I figure we are doing all we can to make sure we are being safe and responsible. So now we are proud owners of a pretty cool gun. Daryl hasn't shot it yet, especially since the weather stinks and now he is so busy, but I am sure he will get around to it soon.
