Valentine's Day

I know it is long past Valentine's Day but I wanted to post about it in February but never set time to do so.  I really enjoyed Valentine's Day this year because it was so laid back.  It was easy I didn't stress about what to get D.  Paiglee had a Valentine party that Emery and I went to.  It was during Emery's nap so I had to leave early.  I made cookies for it, and I was late to it, story of my life.  They turned out cute but I ended up putting them on top of each other after the frosting had dried but it kinda backfired on me.

I had this waiting for The girls and D when they got home and up from nap time.

The girls going through their bags and going through their sister's bag.

Once Emery realized she too had cool things in her bag

I was so excited to give D his gift, it is more of a gag gift and I told him that, so he wouldn't get pumped up.  But I think it was clever and awesome.  So  just a little about the gift.  D has always said he thinks it would be funny to have a flask.  Yeah I know!  He would love to take it to church and just pull it out and take a swig (of water).  Yeah I know! (don't worry he never would).  But then sometimes with his job he comes home drained he works with some depressing stuff and hard stuff.  He has said before "if I drank, today would be a day I drank."  On those days though he makes a run to the Loaf n jug for a nice cold Mt. Dew.  He says it is his way to unwind, his "beer".  So I thought of this gift.

A flask ( a cheapo from Walmart) that I had engraved on the front "Do the Dew...."

Then on the back I put "Love Ya, February 14, 2012"

I thought it was a great idea, and so did the florist that engraved it.  And better yet D thought it was a great gift.  I mean what else do you get a guy for V-Day.

Then check out what D gave to me.  It is a picture frame calendar, that hangs on my wall.  Pretty cute?  I love it!  A friend of ours does tons of vinyl stuff and this is one of her creations.

I enjoyed V-day we had a nice evening as a family. The best was giving my honey his gift.
