Emery had cradle cap about 2 weeks after she was born. I thought that it would be her last time, because don't most babies get it right after birth and then it is done. That is how it worked with Paiglee anyway, but not so with Emery. About two weeks ago I noticed she was getting it again and worse than before. I don't understand I was washing her hair every other day and using the good baby shampoo. So at its worst I decided to try the Johnson & Johnson cradle cap care stuff. It was weird so I kept adding some cause it didn't seem to be doing anything. I used her little head scrubber as well with it. I also washed her hair again and then added some conditioner. I finally decided enough was enough I was tired of washing and messing with her hair and just hoped that all that worked. I was putting lotion on her and putting her diaper on when I noticed her hair wasn't the same. So I combed it and then as it was drying I noticed flaky greasy crap.
Yeah this is what she looked like it was a mess and really hilarious. I should have just gone with the baby oil.
That J&J cradle cap stuff left residue in everything her head scrubber and her comb. It was a mess so it took about three washings to get it out of her hair. And it is still kind of in her head scrubber but is coming out every time I use it to bathe her. Her comb was easier to clean. I did use some Conditioner again after all the washings since I thought her head would really get dried out from all the washing.
And this is her after, one little fuzz ball
Sad part all this and she still has cradle cap, Ugh! It is slowly getting better but my goodness what a pain in the butt. At least you can't really tell unless you move her hair to look at her scalp. And all this she is still cute and fuzzy.

She is pretty cute!!! Rosalie's hair is finally getting long enough that it lays down flat in the front but she did rub it pretty short in the back. Not to mention right now it has gum in it from her big brother!!! Take some pictures of Paiglee. We miss her (and the rest of you)!
her hair is so cute...
When my kids had cradle cap, it was super easy to get off using a wash cloth with a little vegetable oil on it, and just rub it on the scalp. Some little secret someone once told me, so I thought I'd pass it along.
