One Month

Today marks Emery's ONE month. We all say it, but really I can't believe it has been a month and that she has already been with us for that long. It has been a really good month, I can't say it enough, or with more meaning, but we absolutely love this little girl to pieces.

At one Month Emery is:

- about 8lbs. 11oz. and 20 in. long
- smiling at all of us, first smile was at 2 weeks 1 day
- a gassy little fart, but can push most out on her own
- still in newborn clothing and can wear some 0-3 without looking ridiculous
- sleeping 3-4 hour stretches at night and 2-3 hour stretches during the day
- starting to get lighter hair roots coming in on her head about a quarter inch of growth
- has had her first sickness, pink eye, she had it Thursday night and it was gone by Saturday, it was her first visit to the Instacare and to the doctor for something other than a well check.
- finding her cry but is still a very quiet crier, I appreciate this quality
- a lover of sleeping on her belly, especially on daddies chest while watching TV, really that is the only time I let her do it until she is older.
- likes the bath but doesn't love it, she LOVES having her hair washed.
- beginning to make noises when you talk to her, first time was today
- likes to be entertained by her big sister, until she wants to sleep then she has had enough
- known for her hair and her complexion, everyone comments on these two things ALL the time.
- not barfing up her feedings as much anymore
- a good eater, but needs work with burping
- a cuddly baby and loves to be held, no complaints there
- a grunter and may not cry loud or a lot but she is a noisy baby
- not a big binky baby, she likes the soothies but even doesn't take that one all that great
- she cracks me up with all her expressions and I can tell already she has a lot of personality
- she sleeps well in the car seat and the car usually puts her to sleep
- all around a great baby

I hope that covers it all...

I love how her hand is under her chin, she sleeps so cute

Holy cow, this makes me feel like I have a giant baby. Elle is well on her way to 10lbs already and doesn't fit in newborn clothes. Crazy.

Emery is way cute...if you're wondering where her hat is, I will tell you. I made the second one too small too. So...my goal is to have one made, the correct size, by the end of the week. I don't know why I'm struggling with it so bad...but you'll get it, I promise, and it'll be great.

Did your family have a lot of hair too? Just wonder if it is from our side of the family, Her hair looks just like my twins did.

The hair mostly comes from Daryl, he has a baby picture where his hair is just out of control and he was really little. But I did have hair but not a ton but I have thick hair so I think with all that combined the girls got a butt ton of hair
