We had a very busy week doing all the Valentine stuff and lunches and what not. Paiglee's pre-school did a little play and had a little party at the library. It was cute, the little skit was the three little pigs and she was the lady selling the sticks. She gave Valentine's to all of her little friends at school and her everyday friends, she really did enjoy giving it to each one of them.
Paiglee helped me fill these silicone cupcake cups for her valentine's
I added the wrapping and ribbon
She got many nice Valentine's from her friends but I thought this one was so cute, from Bryson, because he tries to put the moves on her sometimes, and she has none of it.
She kept saying "I heart You" which she knows mean I love you but I kept saying not it says "I heart Kisses" she didn't care
We didn't do much for Valentine gift wise at our house because I spoiled all of Daryl's ideas. He was going to buy me new Egyptian Cotton sheets, but then I bought some and told him. Then he was going to do a Pajama gram for me but I ended up buying some PJ's from Lane Bryant. So he said that was it for me. Plus Daryl was gone out of town for the State Gymnastics meet Thursday thru Saturday night. So we didn’t have time to celebrate just the two of us, but that was okay with me.
Saturday last minute we decided to head to Utah after church Sunday and have a little Valentine getaway as a family. We have always wanted to go to the Discovery Gateway children's museum so we thought we would. Paiglee wanted to drive us to Utah, when we were getting ready to go Daryl and I were discussing who would sit where and I said where do you want to sit, and I here Paiglee say I wanna drive, she has some gumption. We stayed in Heber at a Hotel that was the cheapest we could find, everything was 100-200+ $. We had dinner at the Bandit's Grill & Bar in Park City, which was recommended to us. It was good and for sure a splurge, they might have the best nachos we have ever had, their baked beans were super yummy too, I have never had any like them. The trip was good, I would not suggest going on a National Holiday because everyone was there and it was impossible pretty much for Paiglee to play with anything. She did enjoy the water exhibit, and cried when we had to leave. But Daryl and I did not enjoy it because of the crowd of people, I am not a big fan of crowds of people. To say the least people were rude. I had several people run into me look at me and then keep walking, nothing like oh sorry, oh excuse me, nothin'. Kids being snotty to Paiglee parents not watching their kids. People cutting me in line several times. It was craziness to say the least. I was annoyed very quickly I don't do well with people who do not show me the courtesy I show them. Where have manners gone in both young and old these days. I could go on about that, it drives me crazy. But we didn't stay as long as we would have liked so we decided we would come another time during the week when others have to work and be in school. We did other stuff but this was the main reason and focus.

Playing in the water exhibit, she had a blast
This little tree house with minature furniture was neat, she could hardly sit still to take this picture
We enjoyed the trip so much because of our Garmin GPS we got for Christmas from Daryl's parents, we love it. No more shuffling through papers from MapQuest, or driving until we find a place to eat, and hoping we know our way back. It made our car trip more enjoyable, now we just need someone to sit in the back with Paiglee so Daryl and I don't have to keep her company back there.
We ended the trip with Park City shopping and made out with some really great deals, Daryl got a nice Polo for .88 cents. It kills me that he can find good clothing for that but women will never see that price unless you are at a garage sale. But that is another rant for another day. We made it home just in time before the roads got supper slick with the snow freezing to the road.
I would much rather have a family getaway for Valentine's day every year over roses and chocolates! We ended the trip with Park City shopping and made out with some really great deals, Daryl got a nice Polo for .88 cents. The play that Paiglee's pre-school class put on, I thought it was cute, I put this more on for family.

Those little valentines you made are so cute! What a cool idea.
Sounds like a fund trip! Those last minute trips are sometimes the funnest!
