First Talk

This last Sunday was Paiglee's first time giving a talk in Primary. I was super nervous because since being in the Primary Presidency I haven't seen the little Sunbeams give talks. So I didn't know what was expected, so I just did a little paragraph of what I thought was suitable for her. I was also nervous because she is so shy and usually won't talk in front of others when they are all staring at her. Well I stressed for nothing over it all. She ended up doing really well, she said everything she could and didn't have her hands in her mouth which is a nervous habit of hers. She talked really softly so it was hard to hear her even with the microphone. She didn't look down she looked out at the crowd of kids, I was really proud of her. Before her talk she was sitting on the bench behind the little podium, and I kept thinking how big she has gotten. I mean this whole Sunbeam thing has really crept up on me. She is doing really well and hasn't taken too long to adjust from Nursery to Sunbeams. She seems to enjoy it. I do like though when I teach Sharing time she will say answers like Heavenly Father or Jesus or Joseph. She really takes it all in. I enjoy her being in there, and I have noticed she has learned some of the songs they are learning this year. The other day she was playing and I heard her saying some of the words not in the right order but she is getting it. I am super proud of her. She is also getting better at saying her prayers at family prayer time. She doesn't have to be prompted to say everything she now says things like she is thankful for her friends Bryson and Lily or whoever she has played with that day. Pretty freakin' cute if you ask me. She will even look around the room and start naming things to bless, so funny, I let her go with it. She also is really good at making sure we are all nice to one another and that even Daddy and I are using our manners. She sometimes like to be a mediator, or she will say to me, "Mom, look at me, mom look at me, then say you sad oh it is okay, you be aaaright". What is so funny is that I tell her all the time to look at me when I speak to her. She is a joy to have around.

That's cute! I love Sunbeam talks, but Landon has yet to give one and I am super nervous for his first opportunity. I'm glad Paigelee did so good, it gives me hope.
