Finally!! Its De'but

So I am finally, finished completely with my big rag quilt I made for our home. I finished sewing before my deadline and then I think I finished cutting before the deadline for that. I enjoyed sewing it I really didn't enjoy cutting it so much. But thanks to Fara I was able to get about half of it done one night when we stayed up until 3am talking. Yeah we are crazy! Then I finished the rest yesterday. I really like it, I love the colors and the patterned fabric that Sam found. I all around just love it, I am pretty darn proud of myself for doing such a big project. The baby blanket was easy compared to this. I don't think I will be doing any big ones for a while but some day when I get the drive to quilt my brains out again I will make one for Paiglee. I was even impressed with myself how much better this quilt is than the baby quilt I made. More of my corners met up and if not completely pretty darn close. That is a feat of its own, ya know.

So here she is in all her glory

These were taken before I cute the other side and washed it

Look at those corners

This is after i cute it and washed it

I really like it

So now I am done sewing for a while.

Thanks to:

Sam: for showing me how to make these blankets, and for picking out some really cute fabric, and for helping me cut my squares, and for letting me borrow you stuff to cut with.

Fara: for letting me use your sewing machine for so long, and hanging out with me into the wee hours of the night, oh and I can't forget the Yummy chocolate cake you supplied us with many times

Beth: for getting together with me and sewing our blankets and cutting, and for letting me borrow your stuff to cut with, and thinking I am cool ;P

Jen: for hanging out with me and the rest of the girls for moral support as we began this crazy adventure of quilting

Most improtantly Daryl: for watching Paiglee so I could have girl time, for leaving town so I had plenty of time to focus on my hobby, for putting up with my sewing all the time, and for providing the means so I can have such a hobby, and for loving me

I think I covered it all if not Thanks

But now I am going to begin making bows for Paiglee and other people I have said that I would. Hopefully I can get some bow parties going, so I can get the cheering section to push me along, because I really do have a ton of bows to make.

Happy Crafting!

Love it! You did a fabulous job. Who ever gets to use it will be snuggly warm. I was very happy to help you along in your quilting journey. Now I just need to start mine. I could use a bow party even though Lily won't leave them in. Maybe I could super glue them to her head.

And the award goes to . . . . :) Wow, it looks amazing! I can't believe I got a thanks. You're so sweet. All I did was drag my lazy butt over and watch. :) ha ha Okay, now you all have to teach me!!

Seriously it looks so nice. You did such a good job and you're an animal to get your cutting done so fast. I thought I would like that part and hated every minute of it. I'm up for a bow party and I'll even be your finger. If it doesn't chop it off it will make it stronger. :) Perhaps I'll make myself a bow and wear it to church. That would be pretty funny.
