FHE goal
So last night was our real first attempt at doing Family Home Evening FHE. It went well it lasted a whole ten minutes with Paiglee actually paying attention. It was pretty good, considering I don't ask her to sit down for stuff she isn't 100% interested in. We were trying to teach her that she is A Child of God. By the end she was saying God and child so i figure something sunk in. I am really putting a huge effort in making sure we do FHE I think it will help a ton with Paiglee being able to take instruction and sit for a few seconds and listen. Plus it gives her one on one time with both Daryl and me. I even went to the Distribution Center online and bought a few things that I think will help and make it more simple but interesting for a 2 1/2 year old. But for now we are going to do the Nursery manual that my mom gave to us. So I hope I can stick with it and that it will help us see some improvements in Paiglee's ability to sit and listen a few minutes without having to be entertained.

We have been trying to do it to. If you come up with an idea Paiglee really loves, please share! We got some videos about Book of Mormon stories we've been watching. Vance seems to like them, but I'm not sure he knows whats going on.
P.S. Where did you get the patterns for those quiet books you sewed for Paiglee?
First I think this is great and good for you guys. I think if you make the effort now it will totally pay off but really what do I know. Secondly, should I be concerned that this post was posted at 7:30 am. What's going on? Why are you up and posting. :)
Way to go girl! You have to start somewhere right? If you start when she's 13 you'll still only have a 10 min lesson. :) But starting now you'll be able to work your way up. Honestly we don't normally have a lesson over 15 min. But that's us. Its so worth it.
Good for you. Stick with it. We've tried to be better at FHE. We're on the rocks right now, but we'll get back on track. It's so fun to see them learn.
10 MINUTES? That's pretty dang good!!Ours only last about 15. My kids are always excited about the treats part of FH. :-)So is my husband, come to think of it...
Good job!
Ditto on it all - you'll be glad you put forth the effort...at least that's what I'm telling myself! :)
